My Sister Sara

The documentary genre is an ever evolving genre and as everyone knows there are several ways to tell a story. My Sister Sara is a multimedia documentary by Marjaana Malkamäki. Malkamäki mixes still photography, voice over and video interviews with her sister Sara to tell her story about living with panic disorder and how her life eventually changed for the better. Malkamäki´s background in journalism and photography is evident. Her sense for story is good and her beautiful photographs makes this multimedia doc worth seeing. Malkamäki´s website is only in Finnish, but no Finnish knowledge is needed to enjoy the photographs on her website.

My Sister Sara is 09:21 minutes long and can be watched free directly from PhotoRaw´s website. The photo above is a still frame from the doc.
