Nordisk Panorama starts this Friday

The 23rd edition of Nordisk Panorama will take place in Oulu, Finland from the 21.-26. September. As one of the most respected short & documentary film festival in the Nordic countries, this edition has a lot to offer both for short & docs lovers as well as the industry people.

Some of the highlights this year include Ballroom Dancer by Andreas Koefoed & Christian Bonke (2011), The Punk Syndrome by Jukka Kärkkäinen & J-P Passi (2012), Harbour of Hope by Magnus Gertten (2011) and Searching for Sugar Man by Malik Bendjelloul (2012).

Nearly 150 films will be screened at the festival, along with some Q&As, seminars, workshops and networking events and parties. At the Nordisk Forum selected filmmakers attend pitching sessions and one-to-one meetings. Nordisk Panorama awards four different awards; Nordic Documentary Award, Nordic Short Film Award, New Nordic Voices Award and FEDEORA Award. Winning these awards is seen as very desirable, as they often make way for sales and distribution of the awarded films as well as other film festival screenings.
